Grandparents Day
September 10, 2012, Monday - After school the kids & I went to Mom and Dad's to wish them a Happy Grandparent's Day that was yesterday. Nathan had soccer practice yesterday so we came today. We visited with Great Grandma too! The kids climbed the magnolia tree, Nathan climbed the well and we enjoyed grapes off the vine and Papa John's pizza with them. Happy Grandparent's Day! We love you!

New Soccer Season
Sept. 5, 2012, Wednesday -Nathan started his 7th season of soccer this afternoon. He is on a new team...called the Twisters! It is too bad that ICE could not stay together. They had such a fanominal season last year. That is OK though, he is ready to make new friends and have a great time!
Dance
Sept. 4, 2012, Tuesday -Brittany is starting her 7th year of Dance today. She is taking Tap, Ballet and Jazz and is excited to start back.

August 31, Sept. 1, 2, & 3, 2012, Fri. - Mon. -We enjoyed a great Labor Day weekend with family. Fishing, water activities, arcade, ice cream, indoor camping, 3-D movies, shopping, neighborhood cookout, & games of Monopoly. Saturday morning Chad got Nathan started with fishing & then went to get something and I was trimming bushes....then we see Nathan struggling with a fish flapping in the air on his pole. Chad yelled to me and I ran inside and grabbed my camera & we ran down to Nathan......Wohooo...what did he just catch & pull in all my himself?????!!!!! A Large Mouth Bass, he caught right off our dock! What an amazing catch....Chad got the fish off the hook & I started taking pictures...then he carried it up to the house to show Great Grandma (she is a fisher lady herself). The fish weighs over 2 pounds! This is the biggest fish any of us have caught at SML. What an exciting time for Nathan!
Pool
August 30, 2012, Thursday -After school when the pool opened at 4pm we went to take advantage of the last days of it being open. Nathan got brave and was doing flips off the diving board and they do love the super slide!
KFC Back to School Party
August 29, 2012, Wednesday -5pm the kids enjoyed making cookies and pizza at the church. Then they made drink coasters out of Popsicle sticks. They had a fun time. I think they liked decorating their cookies the best. Thank you CUMC for a great time!
Walking in the Woods
August 28, 2012, Tuesday -Nathan was celebrating his friend, Isak's 8th birthday & the girls were catching frogs & taking a walk in the woods.
First Day of School 2012
August 27, 2012, Monday - After taking pictures we headed out the door a little after 7am. Parking is crazy on the first day of school. I parked in the same spot I did last year, over by the dumpsters. Chad found a place on the grass. We headed in and took Nathan to his class first. He is out in the cottages and is in the same cottage that Brittany was in 2nd grade. Nathan met his teacher (because we missed open house) and unpacked his things. He found his desk over by Christian. Isak entered the room as we were getting ready to leave. Nathan started on the word find. Welcome to 2nd grade, Nathan!
Then we took Brittany to the 5th grade hall and found her class and met her teacher. Found Brittany's desk, took pictures and told her good bye. She was sitting right across from Jordan (they were in Kindergarten together) and Elise came in as we were leaving. Welcome to 5th grade, Brittany!
