Although time seems to fly by, it never travels faster than one day at a time. Each day is a new opportunity to live your life to the fullest. Dr. Steve Maraboli

Carnival & Soccer Game
April 17, 2010, Saturday - Today we had a school walk to raise money for the school, the Spring Carnival and a soccer game. Great weather and fun family events. The score for today's game was 16-6. Nathan scored 7 goals for his team. That was more points than the total points for the other team! Go Nathan!

School Field Trip
Easter Egg Hunt at Nana and Papa's
Easter 2010
April 4, 2010 - Sunday - Easter - "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come see the place where he lay." Matthew 26:8
The kids found there hidden Easter baskets this morning. At church Chad and I taught Sunday School and then the kids sang in the choir at the 11am service. Nana and Papa Secraw are here visiting with us from Wisconsin. What a blessing to have them with us during this special time of the year.

OBX Trip
March 27 - April 2, 2010 - Sat. - Friday - We took a family Spring Break trip to the Outer Banks of NC. We stayed in Kitty Hawk. We enjoyed a great week of family fun. We went to the Wright Brothers Memorial. Awesome place! 1903 the birthplace of flight, right here in North Carolina! Those 2 brothers were genius! Also visited Jockey's Ridge - tallest natural sand dune on the east coast. The kids enjoyed flying kites with Uncle Cameron. And thanks to him, Nathan was able to get his kite back after the string handle flew out of his hand and kept going.
We also enjoyed climbing up 214 steps of the Currituck Beach lighthouse that was built in 1875. There are approximately one million bricks used to build it. The kids did great. Nathan was not too sure when we stepped out on the top. He did pose for a picture and then wanted to go down right away.
We enjoyed time on the beach building sand castles and collecting lots and lots of sea shells, a round of putt-putt at Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Hunt, swimming in the pool, shopping in Duck and playing Super Mario Brothers on the Wii.
Happy Spring Everyone!
