Happy 8th Birthday, Nathan!

October 24, 2012, Wednesday - I can't believe my baby is 8!  Wow, time goes by fast!  I came to Nathan's class this morning and delivered a special snack (popcorn and grapes) for all the kids.  It was also hat day for "Put a cap on Bullying" for Stop Bullying week.  Most of the kids were wearing hats and the teacher too.

After dinner Nathan blew the candles out on his Cinnamon Roll cake and opened some presents.

Fall Mix

October 23, 2012, Tuesday - I made some White Chocolate Fall Snack Mix.  The kids took them to their teachers and bus driver today to say thank you!

Silver Bullets

October 22, 2012, Monday - Game against the Silver Bullets tonight.  We won 6-3.

Trophy Time

October 21, 2012, Sunday - Nana and Papa arrived back from their 10 day trip to Israel.  We headed to their house to see them and visit with Uncle Steve, here from Florida.  Nana and Papa had a great trip and they said the best guide ever.  That makes a difference.  Enjoyed visiting and then took Uncle Steve to the airport.
   Later Nathan had soccer practice and received his trophy for the fall season!  He even got some Krispy Kreme donuts and juice!  Awesome!  Great season Nathan!

Pumpkin Patch

October 17, 2012, Wednesday - The kids got out of school today 2 hours early.  We headed to the Pumpkin Patch, our annual tradition.  Beautiful day and a patch full of bright orange pumpkins.  The kids did great picking out our biggest pumpkin ever.  When we got home we did a FamilyFun Magazine Mummy craft.

October 16, 2012 Tuesday - Soccer game tonight against Tar Heels.  Nathan was goalie for the first half of the game.  He stopped a lot of balls.  We played better tonight than the other night, but still lost.  Good game guys!

Singing

October 14, 2012 - World Children Sunday - The kids got to sit in the choir loft today during service and sing.  So proud of them!

Red Storm

October 13, 2012, Saturday - Today Nathan had a soccer game against Red Storm.  Nathan made 2 goals and one assist.  We won 9-2.  Way to go Nathan!

For lunch we headed to a Fall Festival in town.  We enjoyed yummy food and the kids played some games and painted some bird houses.

Carpenter Bees

October 11, 2012, Thursday - The Carpenter Bees just love to fly on over and eat our wood trim on the house.  So aggravating!  Over the years we have had the holes repaired & fixed, but you know what, they keep coming back!  So we finally decided to bit the bullet and have the board replaced with the new PVC boards.  The bees can not chew through this!  Check out the pictures!  So glad we did this and makes the house look better too.  2 before pictures, 3 during, and 3 after.

October 10, 2012, Wednesday - Nathan has a game tonight against the Tar Heels.  Nathan made a goal, but it did not count because the ball was suppose to touch another player first before going in.  On well, it was a good one!  The Twisters lost 2 -14.  2 of the players on the other team were from his Championship team last season.  We just could not stop them!  Brittany helped me video the game.
