November 16, 2012, Friday - Today we took a Field Trip to SciWorks in Winston Salem with the 2nd graders. The school bus was over an hour late because a nurse for one of the kids was in an auto accident on the way to the school & the bus had to wait for a new nurse to get there.
I had 3 kids to keep up with. That wasn't bad until one mom just left and Linda and I noticed 3 kids without a chaperone so between the 2 of us we had 9 kids to keep up with.
Lots of exhibits to see indoors and outdoors. We also saw a show in the planetarium "Follow the Drinking Gourd".
5th Grade also scheduled a field trip today. I could not be in both places. :( Brittany went to the International Civil Rights Center & Museum in downtown. It opened Feb. 1, 2010. The International Civil Rights Center & Museum is an archival
center, collecting museum and teaching facility devoted to the
international struggle for civil and human rights. The Museum
celebrates the nonviolent protests of the 1960 Greensboro sit-ins that
served as a catalyst in the civil rights movement.
