Cousins

March, 28, 2015, Friday -After school we headed over to Mom and Dad's to see everyone one more time before they leave tomorrow.  We had a nice dinner, the kids put on a magic show & I gave them all a handmade Easter Egg charm.  We sure wish we could spend more time with them!

Spring Class Party and visit from relatives

March 26, 2015, Thursday - Nathan's 4th grade class had their Spring Party today.  They played games, made a grass head craft, and enjoyed a yummy Easter snack.  We arrived home early at 2pm, put finishing touches on the house and waited for the arrival of our Colorado family.  Cory, Sara, Kala, Hannah and David are on their spring break & spent part of it in Charleston, SC visiting Cameron, Emily and Waverly.  And now this part of the week they are vising us here in NC.
    They took the kids to the Greensboro Science Center today and had fun.  Once here Cory and Dad helped put in rebarb to the timbers around the flower garden.  Now they will not move!  We had an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids, celebrated Dad and Cory's birthdays, and enjoyed a magic show by the kids.

March 25, 2015, Wednesday - Chad purchased soil, mulch and flowers (that I picked out online) and revamped our flower garden.  Nathan was a big helper!  I'd say it turned out beautiful!  Thank you Chad & Nathan!

Bat Mitzvah

March 21, 2015, Saturday - Brittany and I had the honor of attending her friend Kara's Bat Mitzvah ceremony this morning.  And then in the evening Brittany attended the dinner and party.  What a special day!

Visit with Parents

March 8, 2015, Sunday - Went to R. to visit Mom and Dad & Grandma today.  Had lunch with Mom and Dad.  The kids enjoyed climbing the big magnolia tree, collecting pecans, playing the Mitzi and Moxie & picking daffodils.  We had beautiful weather and it was nice to visit with Grandma on the porch.  Dad showed us his "upcycled" bluebird houses.  He made them from cedar wood that were once over inside windows that had curtains on them.  Dad is very crafty, even gave the bluebird feet ledges, ventilation & drip free entrance.  Looking forward to more spring like weather soon!

Basketball Shootout

March 7, 2015, Saturday - Nathan represented his team in a competition shootout.  He had 60 seconds to make as many points as he could.  He had to start from the free throw line & also attempt a 3 point shot and a lay up.  And then just keep shooting from one of those positions to make points.  The guy in the picture was retrieving the balls for Nathan.  Nathan practiced a lot in the afternoon with Dad.  He did really well.  He made 14 points.  The top 2 boys would then compete for a winner.  Nathan's close friend, Ryan made the top 2, but then came so close, but did not win.

Brittany in Braces

March 5, 2015, Thursday - This morning 8:50am Brittany sat in the chair to have braces put on her top teeth.  I met with the paperwork lady & they started on Brittany.  When I was done and came and sat by Brittany the orthodontist was finishing up his part.  Then the assistant added the wire and bands and made some adjustments.  In 1 hour Brittany was done!  She did awesome!

March 2, 2015, Monday - Nathan and Dylan enjoyed jumping on their fort and throwing some snow around, what was left.  High today was around 52 and the snow just disappeared.

Snow Tubing and Tournament Game

February 28, 201, Saturday - Brittany headed off this morning with the church youth group to go snow tubing at Hawksnest.  We picked her back up at 5:30pm and she said she had a fabulous time!  Nathan has his tournament basketball game.  He played very well.  They were not able to pull out a win, but received a medal anyway at the end of the game.  It was a fun Saturday!

Snow Day

February 27, 2015, Friday - No school today.  Nathan went to a friend's house to sled.  When he got back home, after lunch, he headed back out.  He was outside for most of the day.  He sure does like to eat the snow!  Brittany played with her Legos.

Major Snow Storm

February 26, 2015, Thursday -We woke up this morning to about 6 1/2 inches of snow!  Wahoo!  No school today.  The kids had fun sledding, making snow forts, making snowmen, making some Snow Cream, delicious, and some sugar cookies!
