Happy New Year!

Thursday, January 1, 2015 -  I hope everyone is having a wonderful New Year’s Day.  The New Year gives everyone a fresh start, a new outlook, new hopes and dreams for the coming year.  I hope everyone had a blessed Christmas celebrating the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ.  We had a wonderful Christmas here celebrating with 13 family members.  We also cherished making the day special for Grandma Schield (92) who is under Hospice Care.
I hope 2015 will be a great year for everyone!  I hope Family and Friends near and far will visit my blog often to see what the Secraws are up to.  Please feel free to comment and let us know what you think and how you are doing.  We love hearing from you too!  I will try to be better at keeping up with the blog.  You will see a lot of previous blank posts, but I hope to update them all in the near future.  Happy New Year!

Psalm 25:5 “Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”

Sunset Hills

Monday, December 29, 2014 -  Tonight we decided to go see the Sunset Hills Neighborhood we have heard about in recent years.  The neighborhood is covered in "Christmas tree balls".  The neighborhood gathered together to make 300 of them this year.  The story is that is 1996 Jonathan Smith's daughter, Alison, saw a ball of Christmas lights hanging in a tree.  After she designed one on paper, her and her dad made an actual one.  They are made from manipulating chicken wire to form a sphere and then wrapped in lights.  Our church made some this year as a fund raiser for the Appalachian Service Project.  We bought some and hung them in our tree.  So pretty!
