Chad's Birthday

September 23, 2012, Sunday - Happy Birthday, Chad!  Spending your birthday at the lake...just what you want!  Enjoyed lunch, then cake and presents!  Then we took the kids out kneeing boarding behind the jet ski.  Then we couldn't leave the lake without a trip to the arcade.  What a fun day!  We love you, Chad!  You are the best dad and husband!

Soccer and the lake - birthday weekend

September 22, 2012, Saturday - Nathan had a game this morning at 10:30am against Red Storm.  The score ended 9-3.  After the game and going home to change and get lunch we headed off to the lake.  The water level was way down.  We got the jet ski back (from my bad move of getting the ski rope sucked up into the jet ski).  Chad and the kids enjoyed the jet ski & we did not put the boat in because it would be too difficult with the water level.  The kids enjoyed finding acorns, finding a crawdad and a grasshopper!

September 21, 2012, Friday - After work we met Mom, Dad and Grandma at one of our favorite restaurants, La Fiesta to celebrate Chad's birthday.  Yummy food!  Then to our house for cake and presents!

2nd Soccer Game

September 20, 2012, Thursday - Part 2 - 2nd soccer game tonight at 6:30pm.  Nathan was playing against his coach he had for a few years...kinda different.  And 2 of his buddies from last year (on team ICE).  It was the Twisters against The Herd.  Twisters won 6-3.

 

Out early - Let's go play tennis!

September 20, 2012, Thursday - The kids got out of school early today.  Nathan has been begging to try tennis.  So we dug out our rackets and managed to find some tennis balls laying around and headed over to the courts.  Brittany did not play that long because the handle was making her hands black....I am telling you these rackets are OLD.  She went and washed her hands and decided to read instead.  She is joining the club at school Battle of the Books and reads the books on the list whenever she can.
   Nathan, Isak and I had a fun time hitting the ball.  Then the boys wanted to play by the creek.  Such a beautiful day!  Brittany spotted a little frog in the water and Nathan spotted a little crayfish.  Exciting times discovering God's creation.

First Soccer Game

September 15, 2012, Saturday - Happy Birthday to Chad's brother, Jeff!  Nathan had his first soccer game of this season today.  The Twisters played the Silver Bullets.  Nathan got to play against his teammate from last year, Erik.  It was a good game.  Nathan was put in the goalie position for some of the time.  He did a great job!  Twisters won 5-3 and Nathan scored one goal!
