Pancake and Pajama Day

February 24, 2010, Wednesday - Nathan had Pancake and Pajama Day at preschool. They are studying the letter P this week too. He wore his dinosaur pj's to school. I volunteered to help and so 4 of us moms cooked about 90 pancakes for the children on griddles. Wow - that is a lot of pancakes. But you know what...they all got eaten. It was a fun morning.

Children's Museum

February 23, 2010, Tuesday - Nathan and I enjoyed some great Mom/Son time at the Children's Museum with a group of ladies and kids from MOPS.


Tuesday night is dance night for Brittany. Enjoy the picture of her ready to work hard. Her recital is in May.

2 Games

February 20, 2010, Saturday - The kids had 2 games today. They were making up for a missed game due to snow. They were wore out by the end. They played great! Brittany made a lot of baskets. Nathan's shooting didn't go as well as last Saturday, but he sure is a great defensive player. Great Grandma, Nana and Papa came and were a great cheering section.

Super Doubles

February 19, 2010, Friday - You guys know that I love saving money for my family. Today I cut my coupons, looked up the great deals on my favorite blogging sites and headed to Harris Teeter for their Super Doubles Event. They double a coupon up to $1.98 face value. So a $1.00 coupon will now be worth $2 off. Here is what I got.


If you go into their store today without coupons I would have paid $20.47 (without tax). With my coupons I paid only $7.47. What a deal! I am excited! If you haven't tried couponing...it is well worth your time. Try it! Happy Friday!

Daddy/Daughter Dinner & Dance

February 13, 2010, Saturday - Chad and Brittany enjoyed a great night together at our Club House. They enjoyed a catered dinner, Valentine's Bingo (Brittany won 4 times) and some dancing. Brittany had fun learning the Electric Slide, doing the Macarena and a Congo Line. Nathan and I enjoyed a night at home playing Mario Brothers on the Wii. Nathan favorite game now.

2nd Basketball Game - Feb. 13

February 13, 2010, Saturday - We got snow last night! The ground and roads are covered. Upward pictures got moved from 8:15am to now 10:15am. The kids got their pictures made and then had their 2nd game at 11:00am. Brittany made 4-5 baskets and Nathan ended up making 4 baskets! Way to Go! They did super today. I caught Brittany & Nathan on the video making a basket. Enjoy!

Cameron's Birthday

February 7, 2010, Sunday - Well, Cameron's birthday was yesterday, but we are celebrating it today. We are so glad that he could come home from Virginia and spend the weekend with us. Guess what - the Coast Guard gives you your birthday off of work, so Cameron is taking tomorrow off. So cool!
We enjoyed having Mom, Dad, Cameron and Grandma over for a Super Bowl/Birthday Party! Chad made so good eats on the grill and Mom made a great Red Velvet cake for Cameron. Brittany did an awesome job keeping score for the Super Bowl Scavenger Hunt. We had a fun night!

Another Fun Snow Day

February 1, 2010, Monday - Today we had another fun snow day. The kids are out of school and so we hit the hills with our sleds. We were out for another 2 hours today having fun. Nathan made another snowman too.

January 31, 2010, Sunday - Church was canceled for today. The roads are packed with snow and ice. We got out this morning and sledded for 2 hours. We have come in for lunch and a break and will head back out at 4pm to get more sledding in before dark. We can't remember when the roads were this packed. Great sledding conditions. The kids really like eating the snow too!

Snow Much Fun

January 30, 2010, Saturday - We got out and enjoyed the beautiful snow and great sledding...down our driveway and down our street! We also made delicious snow cream and I got a picture of the guys playing Wii. A great indoor activity for the family.

Saturday Morning

January 30, 1020, Saturday - The snow did come! And it is still snowing (9:47am). We are also getting some freezing rain. I just measured and we received 7 1/2 inches so far. It is beautiful! We will take the kids out sledding when the freezing rain lets up. Most colleges and businesses are closed around here. The news advises not to get on the roads until maybe Monday. I know my Wisconsin relatives are probably thinking we are a little weird. I am glad this happened on the weekend so the kids won't miss too much school and Chad can be home to have fun too.

January 29, 2010, Friday - Brittany was suppose to have a field trip today, but it will be rescheduled. Our school system for some reason decided to announce this morning at 5:30am that all schools would close today 2 hours early (the snow is not expected until around 6pm tonight). So they woke us up early....and made all these thousands of parents scramble to rearrange schedules because their kids would be getting out early. I was not very happy.
The snow did come! Chad saw the snow at his work (north of here) before the kids and I. It started here around 5:30pm. They are expecting 8-12 inches! We are so excited. I am ready to make snow cream this time with the kids. A favorite past time of mine! These pictures were taken at 5:52pm.
