Snow Tubing

December 31, 2011, Saturday - Today we drove to Bruce Mound about 1 hour and 30 minutes away to go snow tubing for the first time with Doug, Kyra and their 4 kids. We borrowed snow suits from the family and suited up when we arrived. We got there right as they opened at 10am and had the slope to ourselves. It was super fun. The kids had a blast and so did the adults. You lay on the black tube and hold the tow rope up to the top of the hill, pick a path and go! The weather was just perfect for it. About 40 degrees. If it had been in the 20's or 30's I think the kids would not have lasted as long. Our faces and toes would be too cold. This was a very fun activity for everyone! We will do this again!

Water park and Pizza

December 30, 2011, Friday - Brittany did not have a good night. She woke up with a bad ear ache. Chad ran out to the near by 24 hour drug store and we were able to get Brittany back to sleep. This is the worst ear ache she has ever had. In the morning I then took her to the CVS Minute Clinic and yip, she has a bad ear infection. Got her some medicine and off we went. We went to America's largest indoor water park. Wow - how neat to be in our bathing suits in the middle of winter and it very cold outside. We had a lot of fun. We liked the family raft ride from 10 stories high. We also liked the 10th story body slide that went outside the building and came back in. Had lunch there too and at 4pm called it a day. We headed to Chad's parents house. Later his brother, Doug and family came over and we enjoyed pizza together.

Flight

December 29, 2011, Thursday - Today we flew to Minneapolis, MN. The flight was so nice....straight flight and the kids can pull their own luggage and walk by themselves. Yippee! We ate at Mall of America, played putt-putt and window shopped. We came only with carry on luggage so we can't buy anything. :) We spent the night at a hotel nearby.

Christmas 2011

December 25, 2011, Sunday - Merry Christmas, Everyone and Happy Birthday, Jesus!

Brittany woke up a little before 7am and went in and got Nathan up, then Mommy got the camera and Daddy the video camera and then we let the kids see if Santa came. Yeap, he did! The kids were very excited to see toys left under the tree and candy in their stockings. We opened a few gifts from each other. Then around 12:30 Mom, Dad, Grandma and Cameron came over and we enjoyed our traditional Christmas lunch. Then we opened presents and later Brittany preformed a puppet show. Her and Nathan invented the puppet show last Christmas and Brittany decided to make it an annual thing. It was very cute. We had a wonderful day celebrating Jesus's birth and being with each other. We hope everyone else had a joy filled day too!

Christmas Eve

December 24, 2011, Saturday - The kids and I made some Holiday Pretzel Treats, Cut-out Christmas Sugar Cookies and Fudge. The kids also made some Christmas puppets for the puppet show tomorrow. In the evening we enjoyed a wonderful Christmas Eve service at church of Carols, Communion and Candles. It was nice to have Mom, Dad, Grandma and Cameron join us.
The kids are checking on Santa's status and where in the world he is right now. NORAD and Google have some very impressive software. The kids loved seeing where Santa was and the number of presents he was delivering. They better get to bed now and get to sleep!
