Palm Sunday

April 17, 2011, Sunday - The kids brought palm branches into the sanctuary and laid them at the alter. Then the younger children sang in the service. After church there was a covered dish lunch followed by an Easter Egg Hunt. It was a wonderful day full of activities. Nana and Papa Cooper were able to join us for the Egg Hunt too. After the Egg Hunt we headed to Wal-Mart to get Brittany's glasses adjusted, change clothes and then head 6 hours to TN for a week of Spring Break.

Natural Science Center

April 13, 2011, Wednesday - Today Kindergarten took a field trip to The Natural Science Center. The kids had fun picking what exhibit to visit next. They had learned about the Howler Monkeys in class. When we went outside to check them out, they were sleeping. They had fun talking to the Macaw though. Lots of neat animals and exhibits. We have been many times with different groups and for birthday parties and the museum doesn't get old. We had a great day!
This picture is funny because Nathan in inside the pen (with goats & sheep) and the turkey is outside. It just roams around.

Kindergarten Animal Fair

April 7, 2011, Thursday - The Kindergarten presented a musical titled "Animal Fair". Nathan's class were bears. They did such a great job! It is just so amazing how they remember all the words and motions. His teacher was not able to make it today because she was at the hospital welcoming her first grandchild into this world. I took lots of pictures for her. Chad was able to come to the show. So special, Nathan is only in Kindergarten once and it is great to get to experience these times. Way to Go Nathan! You did Super!

3rd Grade Field Trip

April 4, 2011, Monday - 3rd Grade Field Trip to Museum of Life + Science in Durham. This was a very fun trip. There was so much to see and do inside the museum and outside. We had beautiful weather. We really enjoyed seeing the butterflies up close and personal and digging for fossils/shark teeth.

Visit from Mom and Dad

April 2 & 3, 2011 Sat. & Sun. - Mom & Dad Secraw arrived Thursday night from Florida. It is great to have them for a few days visiting. Saturday Mom & Dad Cooper joined us for Nathan's soccer game. It was cold that day for the 12:30 game. Nathan scored 3 goals.

Later we enjoyed a meal with everyone.

New Landscaping

March 22, 2011, Tuesday - I finished changing the landscape in our front yard near our walkway. I really like the way it turned out. Taking those 3 bushes out really opened up the space.

March 19, 2011, Saturday - The kids have their last Upward basketball games today.
We then rushed right to Nathan's soccer game.Nathan scoring a goal!!!

Then we went to the Upward Celebration at night. We enjoyed yummy hotdogs & door prizes. We didn't win though, but that is OK. The kids had a great season and so did Chad, as coach!
