Last Spring Soccer Game

March 24, 2010, Saturday - Our day started off with a Yard Sale at 7am. Boy, was our attic full. At least I have made a good dent in clearing out. Lots of kids clothes, shoes and toys that we had for sale. The kids sold lemonade at the yard sale too. They had fun doing that. It teaches them about social skills, money, and being an entrepreneur too. They did sell more when Daddy and Nathan made announcements to the crowd. We closed up at 11:15 to make it to Nathan's last soccer game at 11:30am. Nana and Papa were able to get him there ahead of time for group pictures.
The game went well. The Stingrays were against the Gators. Gators won 7-3. Nathan made 2 of the 3 goals. You just can't stop that kid when he gets the ball. Great day and great game!

Carnival & Soccer Game

April 17, 2010, Saturday - Today we had a school walk to raise money for the school, the Spring Carnival and a soccer game. Great weather and fun family events. The score for today's game was 16-6. Nathan scored 7 goals for his team. That was more points than the total points for the other team! Go Nathan!

April 14th - Game

April 14, 2010 - Wednesday - Pictures from Nathan's soccer game.

School Field Trip

April 9, 2010, Friday - Today Brittany's class and all the other 2nd graders went to SciWorks for a field trip. Thanks to Mom and Dad for taking care of Nathan so I could be a chaperon. It was a fun trip. Very neat place to go.

Easter Egg Hunt at Nana and Papa's

April 4, 2010, Sunday - After church we went to Nana and Papa's for an Easter lunch. Then the kids had fun finding all the Easter Eggs that Uncle Cameron hid in the yard. We played several more times. This is a fun family tradition! And this adult still likes to play.

Easter 2010

April 4, 2010 - Sunday - Easter - "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come see the place where he lay." Matthew 26:8

The kids found there hidden Easter baskets this morning. At church Chad and I taught Sunday School and then the kids sang in the choir at the 11am service. Nana and Papa Secraw are here visiting with us from Wisconsin. What a blessing to have them with us during this special time of the year.

OBX Trip

March 27 - April 2, 2010 - Sat. - Friday - We took a family Spring Break trip to the Outer Banks of NC. We stayed in Kitty Hawk. We enjoyed a great week of family fun. We went to the Wright Brothers Memorial. Awesome place! 1903 the birthplace of flight, right here in North Carolina! Those 2 brothers were genius! Also visited Jockey's Ridge - tallest natural sand dune on the east coast. The kids enjoyed flying kites with Uncle Cameron. And thanks to him, Nathan was able to get his kite back after the string handle flew out of his hand and kept going.
We also enjoyed climbing up 214 steps of the Currituck Beach lighthouse that was built in 1875. There are approximately one million bricks used to build it. The kids did great. Nathan was not too sure when we stepped out on the top. He did pose for a picture and then wanted to go down right away.
We enjoyed time on the beach building sand castles and collecting lots and lots of sea shells, a round of putt-putt at Professor Hacker's Lost Treasure Hunt, swimming in the pool, shopping in Duck and playing Super Mario Brothers on the Wii.
Happy Spring Everyone!

Church Easter Party & Egg Hunt

March 27, 2010, Saturday - The kids enjoyed the Easter Party at church this morning. I helped out in Nathan's age group. They did art, played, heard Easter stories of Jesus, had snack and then the well anticipated Egg Hunt. I was able to capture a picture or two of Brittany hunting too.
