Santa Visit
December 23, 2009, Wednesday - Chad's work let out early today and so we headed to the mall with the kids to visit Santa. Hoping to get in a short line. Well after 1 hour and 10 minutes in line the kids were able to talk to Santa. Such a precious sight. They both sat on his lap and actually talked to him. They gave him their list and Santa told them at the end....don't forget to wish Jesus a Happy Birthday.

Thanksgiving 2009
November 25-29, 2009 - We headed to my aunt and uncle's in Weaverville on Wednesday to spend Thanksgiving with family. My mom and dad, grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins were there. We had a great time visiting, catching up with each other and eating yummy homemade food. There were 16 of us. Then Thursday afternoon we headed for Pigeon Forge, TN to spend some time at Dollywood again. The weather was great and we had fun seeing the Christmas shows and riding rides. I am so blessed by God for my family and friends and health. I hope all of you had a wonderful Thanksgiving also.

Believe
November 22, 2009, Sunday - This week Brittany and Nathan worked on their letters to Santa Claus. Today after lunch we headed to Macy's department store & delivered their letters to the Santa Mailbox. For each letter Macy's receives they are donating $1 to Make-A-Wish Foundation.
A simple letter is going to help make little kid's dreams come true! If you haven't already done this with your kids, then go ahead and do it! Together we can make a difference!

Thanksgiving Preschool Play
November 20, 2009, Friday - Today Nathan was a Native America Indian in his preschool "The First Thanksgiving Feast" Play. It was so cute. Chad and I were both able to be there for it. He did very well bringing the turkey to the pilgrims. We then enjoyed a covered dish Thanksgiving meal and great fellowship. These preschool days will not last too much longer and they are so precious!

The Grocery Game & Triple Coupons
November 4, 2009, Wednesday - On Monday I did The Grocery Game at Lowes Food for my weekly grocery shopping. My total bill was $57.65 and I saved $48.86. I love saving money for my family. Today I decided to try the Harris Teeter triple coupon experience. I checked my friend's blog and pulled my coupons. I got $28.69 worth of groceries for a total of.....get this.....$1.66! I was so excited. Below is a picture of things I got for $1.66. With the holidays coming up and food drives for the needy this is a great way to help people in need for hardly any out of pocket expense. Go try it out! And I would love to hear how you did. Happy Shopping!

Halloween 2009
October 31, 2009, Saturday - Chad and I both did volunteer work this morning. In the afternoon we took the kids to a church Harvest Festival & they jumped on inflatables, played games, ate cotton candy & popcorn & painted pumpkins. It was a fun time. Then we came home for our neighborhood Halloween party. The kids got to do a Halloween parade too with the neighborhood kids. We had a fun time trick-or-treating. Thank you to Mom, Dad and Grandma for handing out our candy for us while we took the kids around. I hope all of you had a Happy Halloween.
